For Commerce Dot Com Sdn. Bhd. The launch of the ePerolehan-Direktori 2005 will be officiated by Deputy Finance Minister II, YBM Dato' Tengku Putera Tengku Awang on 25 May 2005 at the Ministry of Finance in Putrajaya, Selangor.

The ePerolehan-Direktori 2005 is the maiden issue of an annual directory guide that functions as a catalyst to increase business activities between buyers (Government) and sellers (suppliers) in the ePerolehan community. ePerolehan, also developed by CDC, is an electronic flagship application under the Malaysian e-Government initiative. This electronic procurement system enables suppliers to sell goods and services to the Government through the Internet.

Suppliers "open shop" on the www.eperolehan.com.my platform in the World Wide Web, advertise their goods, present their pricing, process orders and deliveries, and make collections. The entire process is done electronically.

Distributed to all Government agencies nationwide, the ePerolehan-Direktori is an effective business advertising method as it lists all ePerolehan-enabled suppliers. These suppliers will have the opportunity to advertise their MOF-registered categories (bidang) and ePerolehan catalogue (SKU) numbers for the benefit of procurement personnel in all Pusat Tanggungjawab (PTJs). Says Azizan, "the ePerolehan-Direktori also addresses change management issues in Government. With electronic procurement comes the introduction of comprehensive electronic catalogues which can be confusing to the unfamiliar. However, with ePerolehan-Direktori, the transition from manual to electronic catalogue searching is made easier until procurement personnel in PTJs are electronically literate."

The ePerolehan-Direktori also provides a compilation of related articles and Government circulars on supplier registration with the Ministry of Finance via ePerolehan and ePerolehan enablement for both PTJs and suppliers.
