General Questions
Q1. What is ePerolehan?
ePerolehan is an electronic procurement system that enables suppliers to sell goods and services to the Government through the Internet. It is an electronic procurement system that links the buyer and seller communities together in a trusted environment, enabling the communities to do business online in a safe and trusted environment. ePerolehan allows suppliers to register or renew their registrations with the Ministry of Finance through the Internet.
Q2. Who is Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd?
Commerce Dot Com is a private organisation appointed by the Government of Malaysia to design, build and operate ePerolehan.

Q3. Why do I have to register with ePerolehan?
With the launch of ePerolehan, the Ministry of Finance has introduced a policy which requires every Government supplier who wishes to register with the Ministry of Finance to now register with ePerolehan.
Q4. When do I register with ePerolehan?
You may register with ePerolehan when applying for a new registration, re-application for new registration or renewal of registration with the Ministry of Finance. If your registration with the Ministry of Finance is currently valid, you need not register with ePerolehan until 3 months before the expiry date. Registration with ePerolehan is only done when you renew the registration with the Ministry of Finance.
Q5. How do I register online?
Online registration is done through our web site at www.eperolehan.com.my You will find the electronic ePerolehan Registration Form to do the registration online.
Q6. When I enter the ePerolehan web site, I see many forms that can be downloaded. Which forms do I need to download?
This depends on the individual's needs. However, we recommend that you download the "Registration Guide" because this guide will be able to take you step-by-step on filling up the Registration Form with the Ministry of Finance online. Please ensure that your PC has the Adobe Acrobat Reader before you download any forms. If you do not have it, Adobe Acrobat Reader is available for you at the download page.
Q7. Can I still use the former Ministry of Finance forms for registration?
No, the Ministry of Finance will no longer accept the former registration forms. These forms are also no longer available at the counter. All registrations with the Ministry of Finance are currently online by using the Registration Form which is available in the ePerolehan system only.
Q8. What is the registration fee for new/renewal/re-application?
The registration fee for all types of registration is RM 310.00 (inclusive of stamp duty) .
Q9. When and to whom can I make the registration payment?
You need to make the registration payment once the Ministry of Finance has approved the application for the registration. The registration fee of RM 310.00 (inclusive of stamp duty) is payable by Bank Draft, Postal Order, Money Order or cheque to Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd. You will need to also enclose the Approval Letter from the Ministry of Finance together with the payment.
Q10. My registration is with the Ministry of Finance; why must I make my payments to Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd?
The ePerolehan system is one of the MSC flagship applications under the electronic government initiative. The Ministry of Finance being the lead agency for the implementation of the ePerolehan system has appointed Commerce Dot Com to build, operate and maintain the ePerolehan system on a BOT model (Build, Operate and Transfer) where the Government does not finance the development cost of the project. Therefore, the registration fee paid to Commerce Dot Com is to finance the development maintenance and operations costs of the ePerolehan system.
Q11. When can I participate in ePerolehan?
The ePerolehan project is implemented in four phases. Therefore you will only come on board according to the phases determined. All Central Contract suppliers offering goods and services will participate in ePerolehan in Phase I and Phase 2 of its development. The Central Contract suppliers must be enabled first before they do any business through ePerolehan. When Phase 2 services are launched, the relevant suppliers from Direct Purchase, Tender and Quotations will be enabled to do transactions through ePerolehan.

Q12. What browser and software requirements must I have to use ePerolehan?
Basic requirements for browser: Internet Explorer 4.0 and above, Cipher Strength 128 bit (please click on Help, then, click on About Internet Explorer to check the Cipher Strength. If it is less than 128 bit, please upgrade by going to https://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/download/128bit/default.asp.
Q13. I am using Internet Explorer 3.0 and why can't I register or enter your web site?
By using Internet Explorer 3.0 (build 4.7140.1158), it will not support the security features that have been built for ePerolehan system. Please upgrade your browser to version 4.0 or above.
Q14. I am a frequent Internet user and I find that your web site takes a lot of time to download. Why is that?
This depends on when and where you are surfing from. For example in Malaysia, the best time would be early morning (about 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.) or late afternoon (3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.). We also suggest that you turn off downloading of images in the browser setting, to get faster results.
Q15. I have tried signing in your website to create Login ID and password for my registration and other services but I find surfing your website to be too slow. Why is that?
This depends on when and from where you are browsing through ePerolehan. For a better browsing experience, please try during off peak hours such as early mornings or late in the afternoons. The sign-in process might take a longer duration because the information is encrypted with 128-bit technology (depending on your browser version), before it reaches our server for security reasons. Encryption takes a lot of processing power on the user's computer as well as the server. Thus, it will take more time.
Q16. Where can I obtain help if I have problems or questions?

Q17. How do I find out the status of my application for registration?
You may know the status of your registration by logging into the ePerolehan system by using the log in ID and password that you had created at the time of filling up the online registration form.
